Classic Zabaglione Recipe
A classic Italian dessert made from only 3 ingredients. Serve warm with cookies, chill and serve over berries or use as a filling for tiramisu.
Serves 4
6 egg yolks
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup dry Marsala wine
Instructions:
1. Combine egg yolks, sugar and wine in a Ruffoni Zabaglione Bowl. Set over simmering water - make sure the level is such that the bottom should not be touching the water.
2. Cook, beating constantly with a whisk or hand blender on low speed, for 5 minutes or just until mixture mounds slightly.
3. Spoon into stemmed dessert glasses and serve with cookies or a dry crumbed cake. Or chill to serve over fresh strawberries or other fruit.
